Housing adaptations

Meeting our clients exact needs

In some cases, it may be necessary to make adaptations to a child's living accommodation to take account of their new needs. We work with the child and family to provide adaptations to their housing to ensure that, wherever possible, they are able to complete the every day tasks that they undertook before becoming injured. If we are contacted early enough post injury, it is possible for us to make these adaptations whilst the child is undergoing treatment within the hospital environment.

Detailed assessments

We complete a detailed assessment on behalf of the child to ensure that their every need is catered for. This may includes the widening of doorways and the installation of specially designed bathrooms.

There are circumstances in which a child's current home is not suitable for adaptation due to its type or location. In these cases, we often work with family's to facilitate the purchase of a new home that will meet their needs.
